My Points

Since we all read our email anyway, why not get a little extra reward?  My Points is a program where you can either click through emails or shop and get points.  Here is what their website says about the program. (https://www.mypoints.com/emp/u/learnMore.vm)

Earn Points

  • Earn Points for doing what you already do online: shopping, reading emails, playing games, searching the web, taking surveys, and more!
  • The more you do, the more Points you'll earn.

Shop or Book Travel

  • All the stores and brands you already love and trust are in one place, making shopping, booking travel and earning Points a breeze.
  • Find the best products, prices and deals.

Redeem Rewards

  • Use your Points to get gift cards for nearly 100 different stores and restaurants -- or enjoy gas cards, airline miles and hotel discounts. You pick the rewards you want.
  • Gift cards are quickly delivered to your door, free of charge."
Personally, I have used this several times and saved enough points to get a few gift cards at Christmas time.  For me, this is the fastest program I have used to get rewarded.  They have many different gift card options including Visa.  Check it out!  https://www.mypoints.com/emp/u/index.vm Now, if you don't want to go to all the trouble to go to the site for yourself or you want a more direct route, send me an email and I will be glad to have them send you an email invitation.  Go to visit my profile and under contact information, click email and shoot me an email!

Who are you again?

Hey, I don't know about you but sometimes I have problems concentrating and remembering stuff.  Trust me, I can remember a bike route or calculate sales prices but sometimes I can't remember my keys, people's names, what I went into a room for, who people are, and what time I am supposed to be somewhere. Thought I might try Focus Factor and Sam's Club has a free sample.  You do not have to enter your member #.

Here's what their website says, "Have you nourished your brain today? Staying focused and on top of your game at work, home, and school is more essential than ever. Like other parts of your body, your brain needs proper nutrition to perform at its best. Give your brain the nutrients it needs with FOCUSfactor, America’s #1 brain health supplement.*"

Maybe I am turning into an old person...NOT

All You is a magazine that saves a ton of money and has some interesting money saving tips.  The cost of the magazine is cheap and you do actually make your money back with coupons on things you ACTUALLY use.  Their website has some great content too like 33 things you can get for free, 30 secret household cleaners you actually have and many more.  There is even a section for fitness and at-home workouts.  I really love this magazine and their website.  They have a daily freebie which you can have sent to your inbox everyday.  Today's freebie is a sampe of Head and Shoulders.  Maybe I am turning into an old person...NO, I'm just thrifty.  I like it so much I even gave my mom a subscription for Christmas!!!  Check it out:  http://www.allyou.com/

Music, music, music

By accident, I found out Amazon.com has a ton of free music.  As a Spinning Instructor, I am also looking for new and different music.  Now, granted a lot of these bands I have never heard of but there is some good stuff on there.  There is one now for a song by Ziggly Marley and Paul Simon.  It's a happy song.  Here's the link to that song http://www.amazon.com/Walk-Tall-feat-Paul-Simon/dp/B0026P9V6G/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1290502452&sr=8-8.  Follow the free music link and try stuff out to your heart's content!!  You do have to download their music downloader but it takes like less than a minute!

Flash those pearly whites

Let's face it we could all use a sample of Crest White Strips to freshen up our smiles, from Wal-Mart of all places too, http://instoresnow.walmart.com/enhancedrendercontent_ektid94579.aspx

To go along with that, a free sample of Dentek Flossers, http://www.dentek.com/.

Now, flash your pearly whites in hopes that the ice melts and the temperature goes above freezing for more than an hour so we can actually go outside and ride our bikes.

Thanks Lou for telling me about Groupon! And a freebie, too....

My friend, Lou, has told me twice recently about Groupon. Usually you get half price for whatever it is.  Today, our local coupon is for Sammios - pay $20 for $40 worth of food.  I haven't done this yet as it is hard for one person to eat $40 worth of food but it would be great if you wanted a nice evening out.  You can put your zip code in to get your local deal.  Thanks Lou for the heads up!!!

Don't know about you but I love cycling stickers...Coker Cycling is offering a free sticker.  Just put in your address and email. (Thanks to Seriously Free Stuff)
http://www.cokercycles.com/freerequests/type/sticker/

Trying to post new stuff daily so bookmark the blog and check it out daily!!

HINT -  If you are going to do lots of freebies, I suggest setting up a separate email just for that.  You do tend to get more ads and sometimes its hard to figure out what is real email and ads.

My mom always told me "You're not cheap, you're thrifty!"

As an avid cyclist, I am always in support of my local bike shop!  If you have a problem, that's where you will go and if you are a regular then they are much more likely to be willing to help you in a hurry!  Having said that, in order to buy all of our required cycling gear (yes, we think it is required but our spouses may not agree), sometimes we need to be a little thrifty elsewhere.  Every day I check out several different sites, freebies, and discounts and on my short and sweet mountain bike ride today, I thought some people might like that information too!

So, here's my first one...if you are buying online, you have to know about Retail Me Not!  There are literally 1000s of coupon codes there.  If I buy anything online, I go to http://www.retailmenot.com/ and see if there is a coupon code.  Usually there is!  For example, my husband wanted a Sunnto watch.  I looked and found it CHEAP and then went to Retail Me Not and found another $10 off coupon.  Also the site tells you what percentage of success the coupon code has had.  People also post very helpful comments about the codes too.  Check it out!!

Hope this will help some folks save some $$ in order to buy more bike stuff or whatever...Times are tight right now so everyone needs to save wherever they can!  Please let me know what you think of the blog too (be nice!) and if it is helpful!  Happy Riding and Shopping!!!
